The Windmills of Your Mind

The Thomas Crown Affair is a brilliant film by director Norman Jewison. It won an Oscar award for the song “The windmills of our mind” (1969).

Now the important stuff of this film lies in the cast, plot and fashion.

The story is about a debonair, adventuresome bank executive who believes he has pulled off the perfect multi-million dollar heist, only to match wits with a sexy insurance investigator who will do anything to get her man. The adventuresome bank executive (Thomas Crown) is played by the one and only Steve McQueen and the sexy investigator is played by Faye Dunaway.

This movie is a excellent example of how two iconic and amazing fashion trendsetter such as Faye and Steve give lessons on how to wear clothes and accessories.

One of the most iconic accessory is the shades that Steve McQueen wears in the movie. A custom made pair of Persol’s best selling model PO Folding 714 with light brown frame and blue lens.

This month me and my BF had our 10 year anniversary, so I wanted to give him something special. I knew that he loved this shades, so I go ahead and ordered them online from Persol.

Here are some photos from the actual sunglasses

They are truly amazing glasses and my BF is so excited, that he wears them everyday.

I think that a good quality pair of sunglasses is an investment because it can totally upgrade your style and protect your eyes.

…and though is Autumn it’s still pretty sunny in Greece.

The original song won of course the Oscar but I love this more tender version by Nana Mouskouri, so enjoy…
